Community Investment

Our community investment program is focused on the historic ties we have with the communities along our tracks, and our goal of making a significant and lasting contribution to the quality of life in these towns and cities.  To achieve this, we partner with local charities and organizations which have a broad reach.  These include Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train program that supports the fight against hunger; our goodwill ambassador, the 2816 Steam Locomotive and our annual United Way campaign.

Guiding Principles

Each year, Canadian Pacific receives hundreds of requests for community support. At Canadian Pacific, our community investment must:

  • make a positive difference in the quality of life for our Canadian Pacific family and communities
  • reflect our corporate values
  • have a broad reach among the 900+ communities in which we operate
  • include opportunities for employee participation

We do not provide support for the following organizations:

  • religious or sectarian organizations (except where they represent non-denominational community and social support services)
  • political organizations and candidates
  • for-profit organizations

How do I apply for funding?
